LOCATION:

Bougainvilla-Hermitage Retirement Village is located in the picturesque village of Nachinola, in the Bardez District of North Goa. It is about 5 kms from Mapusa - the market and business centre for Bardez, approximately 15 kms from Thivim Railway Station, the nearest railhead from Mumbai and the western parts of India.

The village is well known in Goa as it has a lot of archaeological and mythological legacies.

The name Nachinola is derived from a legend! The original name was Nach-go-Nola (dance O Nola). As the story goes, Nola was a beautiful girl who lived there and the word Nach translates into “dance” associated with the temple dancers. There is also an open space here that was earlier known as the street of dancing girls.

TempleThe village of Nachinola has an unexplored archaeological treasure that exists at the side of the Ravalnath temple. There is also a church here that was built in 1676 dedicated to Bom Jesus that holds the annual feast known as Santissimo Sacramento e Bom Jesus on January 1st. Church

Nachinola is a typical Goan village, graced with green fields and hills. The overpowering sense of peace is what makes the village unique. Away from the bustle and crowds of the beach, the village really has the best of both worlds, with the beaches being just a short ride away.

MapThe village of Moira, its closest neighbour is as picturesque as Nachinola.

The Bougainvilla-Hermitage Retirement Village will take root in a rambling tract of virgin land cocooned in nature. Where bird call and silence are probably the only sounds that you will hear!
